Eureka was founded on March 5, 1995 by Mr. W.A. Boyle, a Microbiologist, and his wife Dr. K.L. Boyle, a Medical Doctor and Public Health Practitioner. The laboratory initially had a staff of two persons. Only the basic simple tests were offered and were done manually. As the years progressed, “ Eureka ” became more and more mordernized.
The initial location was 166 Waterloo Street , within the Guyoil compound. This location was found to be away from the general medical community, but proved otherwise.
It was thought that if you were good, people would go looking for you.
After five years of operating from the Guyoil Compound location, Eureka was moved to its main office, a spanking three-storey complex.
Eureka now has a Medical Laboratory, a Pharmacy, X-Ray and Conference facilities, whilst, contemplating a new branch.
Eureka Medical Laboratory has been one of the most reliable medical institutions, because, of its efficient staff. With an extremely dedicated staff, that are well trained by Ms. Kim Bacchus-Waldron, one of the most qualified/experienced Medical Technologists.
